The Friends of Doylestown Library uses membership money and funds raised in our annual book sale to fund community programs and purchase items for the library.
In 2019 the Friends financially supported 2019 Summer Quest, a free program for school age children that focuses on literacy and critical thinking skills.

The Friends does not arrange for volunteers for the library. Please contact the library directly at 215-348-9081 for inquiries about volunteering.
As a member of Citizens for Pennsylvania Better Libraries (PCBL) our purpose is to promote the development of excellent library service for all residents. As a partner with the Bucks County Free Library in Doylestown (Doylestown Library) we provide financial support to bridge the gap between state funding and the library's needs.
The Friends is an all-volunteer organization.

The purpose of this organization shall be to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; to focus public attention on the library; to stimulate the use of the library's resources and services; and to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community.
